1 Peter 3:14-15, "The Reason for Hope" part 2

Hello my wonderful Bible students! There are things I had in my heart that we never got to and Jon Courson's message on it is great! This is my favorite pastor and I hope you will have an open mind and heart and be sensitive to the spirit-do not grieve the Spirit. I will pray you like it or better yet love it and lie what you learn. Please go on searchlight.com and you will find messages by Jon Courson. Listen to this program and then post what you liked, learned or had questions on. I pray this will help to ignite in you a thirst for knowledge. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge". I love you all and truly can't wait for you to listen to the sermon as I think it's perfect for you all! Please listen and apply it! :) love you guys

  1. I like the way he related the darkness and beauty of the stars to us. When its dark and dreary in our lives, we should shine like the stars. We should shine more intensly knowing that we live in troubled and dark days. Peter tells us to be happy, even when we are going through something because we always have an opportunity to shine for God. We need to be ready to give an answer or explanation to anybody that asks. Be ready to give a reason for the hope that is within us. I enjoyed listening to him, it was very good.(:

  2. This world is one of darkness. One where the shadows are all around us. For us however, those who have come into contact with the Light, are to share it with the others around us, in darkness. It seems scary, at least to me, to may be the only ones on your block including your family that might make it to heaven. But this is what we are called to do. To share the Light, Jesus Christ, the hope we have to get out of the darkness. For we are the light of the world. Whatever we do, there might be a way to witnes to someone. Sometimes the most important things people will ever see comes without words. We are to live our lives so that people see Jesus in us and might turn to Him.

  3. I also liked how he related the darkness and magnificance of the stars. Its like how the bible says, we need to.be the light on the hill. A city upon the hill. Alot of people may never see another christian, and i dont want to.be responsible for someone going to hell. We have to make a true effot dailiy to make sure the light of God shines through us. Remember, before we were saved, we had to see someone who showed us Jesus is Love!

  4. What I got out of it is that we live in a dark and cold world. With that said, we as Christians should shine God's light and be "on fire" for Him. 1 Peter 2:9 tells us "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." Light shines, and so should we. Ummm he was good with helping us defend our faith. Very informational. Good stuff.

  5. As we can all see this world is very evil. Satan is in control of the this world, but as christians we are not apart of it. We just are living in it for a short time. We are suppose to let the glory of God shine through us so that we can get other people to follow Christ. I really enjoyed listening to the sermon.
