Here we will hopefully stimulate our minds.My heart's desire, for this class, is that you will love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind; and have a deeper understanding of Him. I pray you change your perspective and live for the Lord fully so that He can use you and do mighty things in you.This school isn't a prison and I'm not the prison guard.You only have five months, let's really apply ourselves,change our perspective and stop compromising! Assignment #4: Feb. 7, 2012
Homework: answer the following questions and make sure to explain your answer.
Question: 1) what is considered a date and what are some of the perils/dangers of dating? 2) what is the most important thing/quality you look for in a guy/girl?
To me a date is getting to know eachother on the simplest of terms. Thats what the first dates all about favorite candy, color, music, food, etc. A date is introducing yourself and getting to know the other person. Wether its dinner and a movie, or a walk in a park. The dangers? Well iguess you can say dating so much that you date just to date, and you forget that your on your quest to find your soulmate. You get so caught up in all the different people that you met that you dont really know what your looking for. Also it can be if you fall hard for one person you might fall hard for the next one and the next one, so youll always give your all to whoever it is, and by the time you meet "the one" your everything will be out there already so there wont be much to give anymore. The most important thing? To me its were you can sit around and do nothing absolutely nothing maybe have a few laughs, eat, watch tv, but nothing spectacular. If you can do that with a girl all the time and not get bored and she wont get bored and you guys both enjoy eachothers company, thats it. The best and most important thing, if she can make you happy without all the fancy things in life, theres not much more you can ask for. -Christian Cruz
To me a date is getting to know the person you are with. It can be something simple and sweet, because if you truly care about the person, then just spending quality time with them should be enough. Some of the dangers of dating can be falling away from God and being to consumed with your other relationship. Another danger could be falling to hard and fast for someone and end up with a broken heart. The most important thing for me is that he has a personal relationship with christ and is willing to put that relationship before ours. If he loves the Lord with all his heart then everything should fall into place. He has to respect me and treat me right.
A first date is time spent together to get to know each other. If you dig the person on the first date go on a second. The dangers of dating is that if you really do dig the person but they don't feel the same way about you, then you have the possibility of having your heart annihilated. They can even lead you in the path of un-righteousness. The most important thing I look for in a girl is that she's not awkward and she's not afraid to stand up for Christ. Is she's not ashamed of being a Christian and likes to show people that she is a Christian than that's a pretty awesome person.
Date to me is spending time with together and getting to know one another. They can both work keep each other accountable and help each get closer to God. But bad things can happen if your in a relationship like heart breaks and possibly having sex out of marriage which is not of God.
A quality I'm looking for in a girl is first off a follower and lover of God. Also trust is a BIG issue for me in a relationship. The girl should be able to have a good time without being intimate and funny. -Barry Caudle
